Dear friends, 2005 has been a year of incredible growth, ministry and change.  God has been leading us down an exciting path and we have been honored to participate in the work He is doing in marriages around the country. In November 2003, God led Smalley Ministries to establish Smalley Marriage Institute (now known as the National Institute of Marriage) to provide Intensive counseling to couples in crisis.  Since then, we have seen the Intensive Program grow into a quality, nationally recognized program that has provided direct counseling to couples, as well as the foundation for a totally new type of marriage ministry.  We are convinced that God is using the life changing principles of the National Institute of Marriage to impact couples and build upon the promise of a great marriage. We continue to work and improve the quality of the program; we see the volume of participating couples growing at a rapid pace, yet we know God is calling us to more.   Over the next several years, we plan to continue expanding our activities and reaching couples around the country.  We will do this through: Growing our scholarship fund to provide more couples access to the Marriage Intensive programs. Training professional, ministerial, and lay-leaders in the NIM principles. Providing enrichment events for couples around the country. Developing resources, including curriculum and research, to support healthy marriages. Continuing to focus on providing marriage Intensives to couples in need. Multiplying the impact of our ministry by getting these life-changing principles in the hands of more hurting couples! God is leading us on an exciting journey and we eagerly wait to see how this will impact marriages in our country.  We are developing many new resources and tools, for couples everywhere, and we encourage you to stay in touch with us as things progress.  Please continue to visit our website for regular updates, prayer needs, volunteer opportunities, marriage resources, financial needs, conference/Intensive schedules, etc.  We are committed to developing this site into a tool for providing valuable marriage resources, research and information to those interested in healthy marriage.
