        Commitments for Churches Hosting a National Institute of Marriage (NIM) marriage enrichment conference

EVENT: The DNA of Relationships for Couples Conference
The Host agrees to host the physical location for the National Institute of Marriage couples conference at a facility of the Host’s choice. The conference generally starts on a Friday night (7:00pm - 10:00pm) and commences on Saturday morning (8:30am - 12:30pm) and there are generally two (2) scheduled speakers for each event.

EVENT: Training Event
The “Host” agrees to host the physical location for the event the DNA of Relationships for Couples Training Event at a facility of the Host’s choice. The training is hosted either on Saturday after the conference (2:00pm – 5:30pm) and there are generally one scheduled speaker for each event. 

DEPOSIT:
A non-refundable deposit of $1,000.00 made payable to the National Institute of Marriage (NIM) is due upon returning a signed agreement.  The Host is able to guarantee a secured date by NIM receiving a deposit.

FINANCIAL COMMITMENTS 
For Events with Dr. Robert S. Paul and Dr. Greg Smalley
The Host guarantees the purchase of the first 300 (three hundred) paid registrations at the ticket price of $39.00 each (Total guarantee of $11,700).

For Events with Dr. Robert S. Paul and one additional speaker
The Host guarantees the purchase of the first 300 (three hundred) paid registrations at a ticket price of $29.00 each. (Total guarantee of $8,700).

* Training Event- Applies only to conferences booked with Dr. Bob Paul

For Events with two of NIM's speakers
Dr. Shawn Stoever, Nathan Phillips, Christine Arnzen, Gary Bruegman, Ted Cunningham, Chris Pace, or Tricia Cunningham. Host guarantees the purchase of the first 200 paid registrations at a ticket price of $29.00 each. (Total guarantee of $5,800).

 

Travel- The Host agrees to pay the travel and lodging expenses for three (3).

  • Air travel will consist of three (3) round trip airfares originating in Springfield, MO or Rome, GA depending on speakers.
  • Lodging will consist of (2) hotel rooms for two (2) nights of lodging.
  • Transportation to and from airport if necessary.

Note: A special condition for the Host will exist when and if the paid registrations for the event exceed the guarantee by more than 200 attendees.

Paid Registration 1-500:  Expenses will be covered by the “HostChurch”.

Paid Registration 500+:Travel and lodging expenses will be covered by “NIM”

FACILITY: The DNA of Relationships for Couples Conference
The Host will supply a facility with the capacity to seat a minimum of 500 attendees.  The facility will be in clean and in reasonable condition.  All electricity, gas, heating and cooling, will be provided by the Host at a comfortable rate for attendees at no fee. “NIM” shall not be liable for failure of any said utilities.  Sound system, video equipment, microphones and technician will to be provided by the Host without charge.  “NIM” shall not be liable for failure of any said utilities.

FACILITY: Training Event
The Host will supply a facility with the capacity to seat a minimum of 100 attendees, preferably in a class room set-up.   The facility will be in clean and in reasonable condition.  All electricity, gas, heating and cooling, will be provided by the Host at a comfortable rate for attendees at no fee. “NIM” shall not be liable for failure of any said utilities.  Sound system, video equipment, microphones and technician will to be provided by the Host without charge.  “NIM” shall not be liable for failure of any said utilities. 

PROMOTIONS:
”NIM” will provide the promotional materials as listed.  Any additional special promotions are at the Host Church expense unless otherwise specified in writing from “NIM”.

  • Bulletin Inserts (2000 per church)
  • Posters (160 per church)
  • 600 Touchcards
  • Promo DVD (start-up item)
  • Power Point announcements
  • Pre-produced radio spots
  • Manuals for all attendees (provided at event)
  • 500 tickets for attendees—Additional tickets provided as needed
  • Host Church planning guide

REGISTRATION:
The “Host Church” will handle all registration and distribution of tickets to conference attendees.

VOLUNTEERS/BOOK TABLE/SALES:
The “Host Church” will provide adequate book table location and a minimum of two book table volunteers and volunteers to cover ushering and greeting.  Volunteers will be made available one hour prior to event start and one hour after the event ends. The book volunteers will also collect money for book table sales.

Products will be sold exclusively by “NIM” at this event and “NIM” will collect 100% of revenue from book and product sales.

SET UP/BREAKDOWN:
The “Host Church” will provide two volunteers to assist “NIM” for set-up/breakdown of the tables and stage area on the days stated under “Event”.
